Collection: The Dreamtime

This collection in one of the most difficult, yet personally rewarding, bodies of work I have yet to start. It is inspired by my dreams, meditations and inner journeys, which are continuously fueled by my imagination and authors such as Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung and Steven Larson.

The imagery is tricky, constantly slipping through my fingers and away from the graphite. Each image is better known to me by feel and emotions than by site. So, once I have one, I must sketch with my emotions and completely let go of logic.  I must commune and play with the image for it to manifest into the material, everyday world. The work that results isn't the exact image from my mind, but rather one that more closely approximates how it felt when it presented itself to me.
