Christmas is a time of magic and myth. It's the time of year that we feel closest to the wonder and awe of our childhoods. Not so coincidentally, it is also the time of the hidden folk, or huldufolk.
“Stories have to be told or they die, and when they die, we can't remember who we are or why we're here.” --Sue Monk Kidd
Their time is the in-between time, the space between seasons, such as winter solstice. This is when these beings make themselves known to us, or so the tales go.
